چکیده

The gamma-ray binary LS I+61 303 has been widely monitored at different wavelengths since its discovery more than sixty years ago. However, the nature of compact object and peculiar behavior system are still largely debated. Aimed investigating rapid X-ray variability 303, we have analysed all archival RXTE/PCA data source, taken between 1996 2011. timing analysis yields a periodicity $P\sim 26.6\pm 0.3$ days, which is statistically compatible with several periodicities reported in literature for 303. Using this period, performed phase-resolved to produce set phase-bin-averaged energy spectra power density spectra. These dominated by weak red noise below 0.1 Hz, show no signal above frequency. amplitude varies mildly phase, shows maximum that coincides dip flux softer photon index. Aside from low-frequency noise, does not provide any significant periodic or quasi-periodic feature

Long-term Stability of Non-thermal X-ray Modulation in the Gamma-ray Binary Ls 5039

We report on long-term stability of X-ray modulation apparently synchronized with an orbital period of 3.9 days in the γ-ray binary LS 5039. Recent observations with the Suzaku satellite in the year 2007, which covered continuously more than one orbital period, have provided us with detailed characterization of X-ray flux and spectral shape as a function of orbital phase. Motivated by the resul...

Multi-wavelength (radio, X-ray and Γ-ray) Observations of the Γ-ray Binary Ls I +61 303

We present the results of the first multiwavelength observing campaign on the high-mass X-ray binary LS I +61303 comprising observations at the TeV regime with the MAGIC telescope, along with X-ray observations with Chandra, and radio interferometric observations with the MERLIN, EVN and VLBA arrays, in October and November 2006. From our MERLIN observations, we can exclude the existence of lar...

Super-orbital variability of LS I +61303 at TeV energies

Context. The gamma-ray binary LS I +61303 is a well-established source from centimeter radio up to very high energy (VHE; E > 100 GeV). The broadband emission shows a periodicity of ∼26.5 days, coincident with the orbital period. A longer (super-orbital) period of 1667 ± 8 days was proposed from radio variability and confirmed using optical and high-energy (HE; E ¿ 100 MeV) gamma-ray observatio...
